Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect Apple Health?
During onboarding, Walkimals will ask for permission to read your step data from Apple Health. Tap Allow, then choose which data types to share. You can change this later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Walkimals.
How are coins earned?
You earn coins as you walk. You receive base coins for every 100 steps, bonus coins at checkpoints every 500 steps, and larger milestone rewards at 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 40,000 steps.
How do I change my daily quest?
Open Settings inside the app and adjust your daily step goal. You can set a goal anywhere from 1,000 to 50,000 steps.
Why don't I see distance or calories?
Distance and calories are optional stats. Make sure you granted Apple Health permission for walking distance and active energy. You can also toggle these stats in the app settings.
Is the Mascot Store available yet?
The Mascot Store is a preview feature right now. You can browse upcoming items and save coins, but purchases are not available yet. Customization is coming in a future update.
What iOS version is required?
Walkimals requires iOS 18.0 or later and is designed for iPhone.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the Walkimals app from your iPhone to remove all locally stored data. To stop sharing health data, revoke access in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Walkimals.
Does Walkimals work without internet?
Yes. Core features like step tracking, coin rewards, and your buddy work offline. An internet connection is not required for daily use.
