Overview

Walkimals is a gamified step tracker that pairs your daily activity with a mascot buddy. You set step goals, earn coins, and celebrate progress along the way. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Health Data

With your permission, Walkimals reads activity data from Apple Health (HealthKit). This may include:

• Step count
• Walking and running distance
• Active energy burned

This data is used only to show your daily progress, calculate rewards, and display optional stats like distance and calories. You can grant or revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Health > Walkimals.

Data Stored On Your Device

The app stores information locally on your iPhone to support core features, such as:

• Your chosen mascot buddy
• Your daily step goal
• Coin balance and reward progress
• Owned customization items
• App preferences (such as whether to show distance or calories)

This information is stored on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. It is not sent to Walkimals servers because we do not operate a backend service for the app.

What We Do Not Collect

Walkimals does not include:

• User accounts or sign-in
• Third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
• Location tracking beyond what Apple Health provides
• Sale or sharing of your personal information

Internet Use

Walkimals works without sending your activity or profile data to us. The app does not require a constant internet connection for its core step-tracking and reward features. Network access may still be used by iOS for system services such as App Store-related functions.

Your Control Over Data

• Change or revoke Apple Health permissions in iOS Settings
• Adjust your daily step goal inside the app
• Delete the app to remove locally stored data from your device

Children's Privacy

Walkimals is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not use accounts or a backend service, we do not receive personal information directly from users.

Future Features

We may introduce features such as in-app purchases or a mascot customization store in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated to reflect any changes in how data is handled. Purchases processed through Apple's App Store are subject to Apple's privacy practices.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the revision date at the top of this page.
